Mumie scoops Business Award at inaugural Exeter Impact Awards
Back in April, the team at Mumie were delighted to hear we had made the shortlist in the Business Category for the first ever Exeter Impact Awards, celebrating businesses in Exeter making a positive, meaningful and evidenced impact across the local area. As a start-up business prior to the launch of our first product, to have the work we had done so far recognised even as far as the shortlist was an amazing achievement.
The awards, held on 20th April 2023 at Winslade Manor, were attended by 220 individuals representing local businesses and associates of the Exeter Chamber. This was Exeter’s first every standalone business awards, but is now firmly set in the annual events calendar in the Exeter business scene.
Showcasing success from around the greater Exeter area, the awards recognised positive impacts on people, place, or business and Mumie was delighted to be awarded the Business Award. With the judging panel comprising of experts from across the region, Mumie was successful based on the positive impact the enterprise is having across the Exeter area. Particular areas highlighted by the judging panel were the utilising local expertise, connecting with local services and institutions, driving employment in the region and developing a solution that addresses national priorities, all whilst juggling our roles as NHS clinicians and mothers to our own young children.
“It’s always so inspiring to see the incredible impact that individuals, teams and businesses are making in our local community. We were thrilled to receive so many nominations and to see so many deserving winners recognised for their contributions.”Richard Marsh, CEO of Exeter Chamber
